Fanatic R&D Team in Cape Town
The Fanatic Wave Team is on a test-mission for the next line of boards! Last week they were able to score some of the biggest waves they have seen breaking in Cape Towns table bay in the last years. Haakgat was the spot, when Brand Manager Craig Gertenbach and his team riders Victor Fernandez, Marcilio Browne and Klaas Voget took their quadfin prototypes out to sea for the ultimate test!
 

Peter Volwater (H-24) finished 1st at the Lancelin Ocean Classic!
Fanatic´s new entry Peter Volwater finished 1st at the Lancelin Ocean Classic! Peter used his new Falcon Slalom 112 for the first time during a contest, what a great start! In the Wave contest he came 2nd riding the NewWave Twin 86, his new favourite toy for the waves. Big congrats Peter, well done!
 

Pierre Mortefan (FRA-14) joins Team Fanatic France!
We are happy to announce that the young French talent Pierre Mortefon has joined the National Team France!
Pierre: "After a nice season 2009 with podiums on the French tour and discovering the PWA, I am super happy to join the Fanatic/North Sails/ION teams for 2010. I tried the new gear and I’m super happy, it is fast and easy..."

"Four Dimensions" Party in El Yaque
The 4 Dimensions hype carries on! Andre Paskowski´s movie was now presented in a perfect atmosphere on a big screen under the palmtrees of El Yaque. "Four Dimensions" set new levels in terms of windsurf action movies and El Yaque local Gollito Estredo played an important and big part!

Klaas Voget (G-4) is Windsurfer of the Year 2009!
Fanatic´s Klaas Voget again won the official „Windsurfer of the Year 2009 Award“. The 30-year old from Hamburg had gathered more votes then the German Champ Bernd Flessner, Youngster Philip Köster, Vincent Langer and Steffi Wahl. This title is awarded every year from the Action Sports Awards and Klaas already got the title in 2008.

Peter Volwater (H-24) joins Team Fanatic
Well known Dutch windsurfer Peter Volwater (H-24) has joined the Fanatic International Team for 2010. Peter is part of the PWA World Tour since more than 15 years and is one of the world´s best allrounders in racing and waves (8th PWA Slalom Overall 2009). Together with his countryman Pieter Bijl, he will lead our Slalom team but also will still compete in the Wave discipline.

Due to a huge demand we are now launching an additional model of our Hawk Freecarveboard in 110 liters. So the gap between the 100 and 120 liter models is not so big and the range is more complete with 4 models: 100, 110, 120 & 135. New Video Clip "Hooked" by Stefan Csaky
Austrain movie producer Stefan Csaky has made a windsurfing movie about the local scene at Lake Neusiedl and a very special spot in Vienna/Austria, called "Under the Bridge". It´s mostly featuring riders from the Austrian Fanatic/North Sails team, but also some local amateurs. Watch now!

Fanatic gets sympathies at WJ Survey
German Windsurfing Journal magazine recently made a reader survey to get an overview on the German market. More than 3000 readers gave their opinion to different questions. At the question "Which board brand is most admired?" Fanatic was by far the best brand in all age groups! Also at the questions "Which board brand had the most liked team riders?" and “Which board brand did you buy last?” Fanatic was 1st!

PWA World Cup Sylt - Klaas Voget 2nd, Nayra Alonso 3rd
Fanatic´s Klaas Voget finished 2nd on Sylt winning 8 heats in a row in really hard conditions! He was only using his NewWave TE 69 and 76 production boards during all his heats! In the Womens Wave Nayra Alonso finished 3rd showing super action in really tough conditions. Marcilio Browne claimed the cash in the Wave Super Session on Sunday in a close run with Victor Fernandez.
 

Gollito Estredo is PWA Freestyle World Champ 2009
Gollito Estredo is the new PWA Freestyle World Champ 2009! Gollito rips his third Freestyle World Title after 2006 & 2008 and Vice Champ in 2007 he also dominated the 2009 tour winning 2 out of 3 events, his fifth year on the PWA podium!
 

Team Fanatic wins ION Man Lake Garda
Team Fanatic with Freestyle World Champ Gollito Estredo, Italian Freestyle crack Filippo Buratti, Brand Manager Craig Gertenbach & German team member Fred Niedner took the glory at the ION Man event at Lake Garda taking place from September 17th till 19th!

Four Dimensions Premiere Sylt
The Four Dimensions movie premiere during the PWA World Cup on Sylt was a great success! The cinema was completely full in just a few hours on both weekends with world cup riders, windsurfers and non windsurfers all enjoying the hottest action with Gollito Estredo, Marcilio Browne, Victor Fernandez and Andre Paskowski.
 

Club Mistral now with Fanatic
The complete Fanatic range is now on the Club Mistral website and you can choose your favourite board for your next holiday spot there! Following Club Mistral centers will be equipped with Fanatic from October onwards: Dahab, Safaga, Gran Canaria and Mauritius, from November onwards also Cabo Verde, El Yaque and Barbados!
 

Fanatic at Surf Festival Makkum

PWA Freestyle Fuerteventura - Gollito 1st!
Gollito Estredo is the undisputed champion of Fuerteventura! Marcilio Browne and Yoli de Brendt finished 3rd & Nayra Alonso 4th! This is a super result for Fanatic and we are really happy to have 2 riders in the men and women top 5! Well done Gollito, Marcilio, Yoli & Nayra!
 

PWA Wave Grand Slam Pozo - Victor 2nd!
At the PWA Wave Grand Salm Pozo, Fanatic´s Victor Fernandez finished 2nd, Jonas Ceballos & Nayra Alonso both 4th! The final between Victor and Philipp Köster was very close and both sailors were getting incredible height on their jumps – often above the line of the horizon, and jumping for six seconds before they started a rotation.

Fanatic´s Andre Paskowski and his team produced a movie about some of the best and most diverse riders today! “Four Dimensions“ starring Fanatic/North Sails rider Marcilio Browne, Victor Fernandez and Jose “Gollito“ Estredo. Andre will also appear riding on the movie, although his main focus is production. The trailer is coming out in the next days, so stay tuned!
 

Improve and Move Event FBC Kos

PWA Freestyle Lanzarote - Gollito 1st!
Fanatic´s Jose ‘Gollito’ Estredo walks away with the overall Lanzarote title, also top performance shown by Marcilio Browne winning round 2 on his new 2010 Skate LTD 90 production board (coming August 1st!) as well as Fanatic girls Yoli de Brendt and Laure Treboux!
 
EFPT Tour 2010 - Andre 2nd!
Andre Paskowski is back on track! At the first four EFPT events this season, our German Freestyle pro Andre did really good: in Alacati and Palekastro he finished 2nd and on Sardegna and in Lefkada 3rd. Overall he is ranked 2nd for the moment!

Fuerte Wave Classic - Jonas Ceballos 2nd, Klaas Voget 4th!
Our two Fanatic riders Jonas Ceballos and Klaas Voget were invited to the Fuerteventura Wave Classic event, taking place from Feb 28th till March 10th on Fuerte. 10 of the worlds best sailors & 4 hot local sailors participated, each group represented by a local windsurfer. Jonas finished 2nd and Klaas 4th in the Top 5!

Marcilio Browne finished 4th in the first PWA event using his new Fanatic boards. He won 7 heats in a row, more heats than anyone else in the contest!

Chile Clip with Klaas Voget & Victor Fernandez
Fanatic´s Victor Fernandez and Klaas Voget were travelling to Chile in November to explore some of the best breaks the southern pacific offers. Fanatic´s Klaas Voget finished 2nd in the Big Bay Wave Classic, last week in Capetown! The main event venue Big Bay proved its qualities as a great wavesailing spot. The final was really close. Klaas was strong in waveriding and finished 2nd in the end.

Laure Treboux (SUI-4) won the women´s wave event and the expression session at the Australian Lancelin Ocean Classic 2009! The Ocean Classic is a big windsurfing festival including a wave event, the longest downwind race and a slalom.

New Andre Paskowski video "Road Trip"
After a succesfull PWA Final in cold Germany in October, our freshly crowned Freestyle World Champion Jose "Gollito" Estredo (V-01) and Andre Paskowski (G-2) took a little time off to visit some Italian friends Dario Troiani and Fillipo Buratti (ITA-717) on Sardinia/Italy. The action is as expected, unreal!!!

PWA World Cup Sylt - Sensational Results for Fanatic!
Sensation results for the Fanatic Team at the 2008 Sylt World Cup – Victor Fernandez wins the wave discipline, Klaas Voget scored 3rd and Jonas Ceballos 4th. Nayra Alonso earned an equal third place in the women´s wave & Cyril Moussilmani finished 3rd in slalom. Finally Gollito Estredo with his second place on Sylt taking his second Freestyle World Title! PWA World Cup Fuerte - Gollito 2nd, Laure 3rd, & Yoli 4th!
Gollito Estredo is one step closer to the World Title! He finished a brillant second place in Fuerteventura even though he was handicapped by a serious ankle injury! In the women's fleet, Fanatic ladies Laure Treboux finished 3rd and Yoli de Brendt 4th, both showing off with great performances during the event!

PWA World Cup Pozo - Victor Fernandez takes the Title!
After an awe inspiring double elimination final, Fanatic´s Victor Fernandez was crowned as the Wave event winner. Victor has won in Pozo the last three years in a row, never losing one heat, that´s an unreal performance, impressive by anyone’s standards.! Big congrats Victor, we are very proud to have you in our team!!!
This victory shoots Victor right up into 2nd place overall for 2008 in the PWA Wave rankings and gives him even more motivation for another tough title battle for 2008. Plus with the great overall performance of the Fanatic team, Fanatic has moved into second place overall in the PWA Board Manufacturers Rankings, narrowly behind Starboard in the first place.

PWA World Cup Lanzarote - Gollito Estredo takes the Title!
Gollito Estredo is crowned as the event winner after six days of insane freestyle competition in howling Canarian trade winds. Fanatic´s Laure Treboux finished 2nd and Andre Paskowski 6th! 2006 World Champion Gollito already has 2/2 event victories for the year, follow all the action soon from Fuerteventura from July 24-28th, to see if he can already wrap up the 2008 title with three wins in a row! Big congrats Laure & Gollito!
